Welcome To Ravish Brows
What is Microblading?
Microblading (or eyebrow embroidery) is the hottest must have qualification amongst Permanent Makeup technicians! Microblading is carried out by using a special manual hand-tool, which holds sterile disposable micro-blades. The pigment (color) is deposited into the epidermis very carefully with the Microblade hand-tool which allows the technician to create super fine crisp hair-strokes, compared to using digital needle cartridge configuration. The pigments are inserted closer to the surface, therefore the strokes appear crisp and very fine. The process can take anywhere from 2-3 hours depending on the clients eyebrow condition on the first visit. You will receive a complimentary touch-up session to add more details and any modifications you would like. We also offer Ravish Micro-Shading for an additional charge on your touch-up visit this will give the brows the most natural, full and ravishing look it is highly recommended.

Microblading Aftercare
It is important to Not wet the eyebrows for 7-10 days, please wash your face carefully around the eyebrows without getting water on the treated area. If you feel dust or discomfort on the treated area, wipe it gently with alcohol wipes. No rubbing or picking at or around the treated area. The treated area might feel a little ticklish during the first phase of the recovering process, it is important not to rub the eyebrows as you might cause infection in the skin. Peeling is absolutely normal during second phase of recovery; avoid any sort of picking of dry skin as you might peel out the wrong parts and create bald spots in newly reconstructed brow.
Keep your hair away from your face. This means avoid putting your hair over brows for at least 7 days as this could cause infection. Apply grape seed oil after 7-10 days of the treatment. Oil usually applied in the evening before sleep, some people might need to apply it 2 times per day. It will help to keep treated area moisturized and soft for the rest of recovery period. Although, grape seed oil is the most popular and recommended, you can also substitute it with sweet almond, jojoba or coconut oil. Also, petroleum Jelly or Vaseline is ok to use very lightly especially when bathing. No sun beds, tanning, excessive sweating in the gym, no makeup or anti-aging creams on the eyebrow area for at least 10 days. It is best to allow the eyebrows to heal first before using any of the above.
The entire healing process will take from 4 to 6 weeks depending on your body’s regeneration, age, immune system and lifestyle. Sometimes after microblading customers develop dry and or flaky skin. It is very important not to rub, pick/ peel off your flakes or scabs. Itching is absolutely normal as skin is repairing itself. Never rub the treated area as it will disturb the skin from natural healing process. If you get your eyebrows wet at the beginning of recovery, simply dry it with lint free tissue. The way you take care of your new eyebrows after microblading will have great impact on the way it looks. Improper care often results in fading or “patchy” eyebrows.
Note that because of natural skin regeneration, the eyebrows may appear lighter than the original pigment. Often even with proper care customers develop bald spots or loose original hair strokes which makes the eyebrows look uneven. It is absolutely normal because your natural skin regeneration is not a process that technician can control. That’s why most customers need a touch up after 1 month to assure that eyebrows are perfectly even and the desired effect was achieved.
All following must be Avoided during the 7 days post microblading procedure:
- Increased sweating.
- Swimming.
- Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi.
- Sun tanning or salon tanning.
- Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic Acid on face or neck.
- Picking, peeling or scratching of the micro pigmented area.
- Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds.
- Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles or motorcycles.
- Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the post-care creams with a cotton swab.
What to expect after your Ravish Brows Microblading session?
Your new temporary eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle. The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure, this is because the pigment is still sitting on top of the skin, and has not yet settled in completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually. Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab as this is excess pigment and or body fluid that is naturally exiting your skin.
Once the healing of the skin starts taking place it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. DO NOT EVER pick, peel or scrub the Microbladed area as it will damage the skins healing process and may result in scaring. It is very important to let your eyebrows heal at there own pace. This might give you the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly, however this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows. Once completely healed I advise applying a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 or up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Not an excessively oily sunscreen as this could push the pigment out. Also, sun exposure may cause the pigment to fade away more quickly. These suggestions made by Mya Sophya Rajani are just suggestions, they are not to be construed as, or substituted for advice for a medical professional.
Do not use creams on the swollen or red area without consulting your dermatologist as infection or irritation may occur.
In the first seven, preferably ten days right after the Microblading treatment, do not apply any makeup over the microblade eyebrows try to keep the eyebrow area clean.
Avoid dust and clean your eyebrows softy with soap and water to prevent dust accumulating over the eyebrows.
Avoid heavy training that will result in excessive sweat, which will decrease pigment retention.
Avoid laser treatments over microblade eyebrows. These laser treatments will burn the microblade skin and result in pigment loss.
Avoid touching your eyebrows with dirty fingers to prevent infection.
Avoid swimming for at least seven days.
Avoid tanning for at least seven days.
Do not take additional treatments until the treated are is completely healed.
To ensure quicker healing process, do not expose the treated area to water often.
Do not pick or pull scabs on the treated area as it will result in pigment loss and or scaring.
Is Microblading Safe?
Safety Is #1 Priority for our clients and trainees at Ravish Brows.
Disposable Tools: The use of medical grade single use disposable tools is a must.
Sterilized hand pieces: You need to make sure that the hand pieces used by the experts are disinfected. Even if the tools are new, non-sterilized hand pieces could still give you a cocktail of germs that could wreak havoc to your immunity and cause serious issues. We make sure that we use all the right tools and hand pieces that are properly sterilized to make the procedure safe for you.
Does Microblading Hurt?
As there are many types of skin and pain tolerances it is most common that as opposed to tattooing, microblading is much less painful. On a scale of 1 to 10, people have rated it as 3 to 4. There is mild irritating during the procedure, the numbing cream used by your microblading specialist should relieve you of a majority of any pain. It is also perfectly normal afterwards to feel some irritations. You will also not have that redness in the skin which is typical of the people who have had tattoos done. This is why microblading is the option of choice for most people who want to look flawless.
How Long Does Microblading Last?
If the procedure is not applied correctly or if the pigment was placed under the skin too deep, a significant amount of pigment will be peeled off with the dead skin around seven days later. This means the eyebrows will not look as full a touch-up can be arranged to fix the eyebrows to the client’s needs.
If after the procedure, the client does not follow aftercare instructions correctly directed by the microblading specialist. The customer needs to clean the eyebrows throughout the day and apply Vaseline on the clean microblade skin after that. Never let a layer of crust form on the eyebrows, which will take off a significant percentage of pigment.
If the customer has oily skin or sweats excessively, the pigment cannot last a long time. All other external factors- sunlight, chemical peels, laser treatments, creams can also affect the durability of pigment significantly.
